Finding Joy and Resilience Through Connection
In July 2024, Combojoven (Comboni youth), guided by Fr. Daniel Villaverde and inspired by AGUILUCHOS magazine, travelled to Turkana, Kenya for a missionary experience. They faced several challenges but found resilience and joy in the local community. Their service included painting classrooms, visiting hospitals, raising funds for medicine, and teaching tailoring skills. Their journey highlighted the balance between joy and adversity and the power of empathy and connection. Ultimately, the experience taught them the transformative impact of kindness and the strength found in shared humanity.
